Native-American moon goddess, art by Will Stout.

It's the goddess in her benefic side, (Ix-Chell in Mayan mythology) also mutates into the aztec snake-monster Coatlicue when pissed off Mr. Green

Thats a nice piece. The woman looks too Mediterranean rather than Amerindian though, typical problem when doing Aztecs, lol.

I found these two pieces of Japanese art, from the 19th Century. Both are about a muscled (samurai) warrior killing a giant serpent.

The fisrt one is kinda Hercules-like.

Didn't know giant snakes were also present in Japanese mythology, neither that any samurai fought against any.

Though not directly related with the movie, I just found this truly amazing piece and I wanted to share it, I think you will love it.

It's "COURSE OF THE EMPIRE" by Thomas Cole, a series of paintings depicting the construction and decadence of the Roman Empire.

It starts with "The Savage State", a kind of prehistoric age. Then moves to later more civilized states and finally, take a look at THIS, the destruction of the Roman Empire by the Barbarians Conan :

that one was used as inspiration in the 2004 movie "TROY".

The whole series:

Also, I found this painting by Solomon J Solomon ("AJAX and CASSANDRA" 1886). Kind of reminds Conan and Jasmina downstairs:
