Well, the upper one would have been fake, as it has the carving in it. Weren't they made from Styrofoam covered in a light spray of concrete?

The interior of the tomb was filmed in a hangar near or inside the (then) U.S. Air Force Base of Torrejon de Ardoz, Madrid.

Don't worry, it's in Madrid. Somebody already owns it, and surely has a house near there protected by a couple of extremely rabid (beacuse they are all the day chained) german shepherds.

I used to take walks on the countryside by my own, some time ago. Trust me, you need a damn stick. Each house you pass near breaks in psychotic barkings, roars and howlings that scare the shit out of you. If you own the stick and show it to the dogs, they calm a littlebit, but still they try to scavate a hole in the floor to pass the walls and go after your ass. A couple of times I got really damn scared. And in the countryside of Madrid there no good trees to climb, but maybe some little short weak olives. No big rocks either in the south (the movie localization in in the north, in the mountains), just a fucking desert plain to run and nothing else. The owners of the houses aren't there, they leave the dogs there maybe for days to protect their country houses, and therefore the animals are crazy.

I think Milius used some of those.
