Where are the photos of the extras from?

Where does everyone find these photos of extras from the film? Cromulus has them in his signature, and there are a few on the French language forum of extras from the tavern scene; I've never seen these anywhere outside the completist site.

Photos of extras come from different magasines published in 1981-1982 ( and some of them are really hard to find ), thus during the filming and for the movie release. Other photos also come from different press kits and publicity stuff...

I'm sure Cromulus will soon give you the right reference for his photos.

Putting me on the spot..not nice! Guess though you want them too ?

Speaking of photos, I have several of Cassandra Gaviola/Gava (the Witch) that I'll try to scan this weekend. They're from a sewing book from 1976 called The Yestermorrow Clothes Book. Yes, she's wearing clothes.

Oh, and BTW, heartofd, the extras from the tavern scene that you're referring to come from the special CONAN issue of the French mag "Metal Hurlant" (= Heavy Metal), #74 bis - April 1982... A must have mag (even if all written in French), with more than 130 photos!

I will have to agree with the initial poster, I am simply AMAZED at the number of rare photos on this site. There are literally dozens of pix that I have never seen before, & I'll tell you that I have done some serious web-scouring for images from this film.

KUDOS for a job well done!

P.S. King Sven, is there a larger version of the picture in your avatar somewhere on this site? (I'm a Thorgrim fan, as well as a Conan fan.)

Thanks! So I guess the colorization was done in a photoshop program? If so, it's excellent work, I never would've known the original was a black & white photo...
