| 1967's KING KULL cover bears an uncanny resemblance to CTB. You have Casaro's helmeted warrior, a leopard, snake-man Thulsa Doom, minstrel dressed as a priest of Set, Valeria, battle of the mounds like horned helmeted warrior with an axe, battle of the mounds warrior with lance stance. Also looks like Columbu's pirate like cutlass there at the bottom. very intriguing: http://www.howardworks.com/kkulll.htm | |

| Yeah, I think so too. In the KING CONAN script, Milius has Conan use the , "By this Axe I Rule" line. In the 1st Draft of CTB script Milius has Conan break the Mirrors of King Ocric like seen in the CTD film and Kull story "Mirrors of Thuzon Thune. So that should explain the mirrors more clearly rather than in the 2nd draft or film which retained the props and the cut scene where he stares at himself and breaks the mirror. The cutscene and released movie made it seem like pompous vanity rather than anything mystical which was intended in the 1st draft.
The only thing Milius shouldve added, was that the mirrors were given to him by his daughter via Thulsa Doom or Yaro, to entrap and weaken the king as his kingdom gets usurped. The movie was cut up in post production and underwent to many re-writes I think. | |
