Orgy Chamber Costume?

Hi folks,

New here but a huge fan of the character and the '82 film.

Anyway, I was trying to find any solid images of the pants and belt Conan wears during the Orgy chamber scene, and I've discovered its pretty hard to see and make out the details from the pics I've found online. Does anyone have any really good pics, or info/insight on this?

I pretty much discounted the replicas since it's obvious that one's not accurate. I didn't realize there were different replicas out there. Thanks for pointing the Neca out!

You can see there are some circular studs or possibly circular leather tooling on the belt--I'm just not sure.

You're right, the belt on that pic is similar to He-Man's and includes some buttons...

I think that's the true belt wich holds the skin cloth. There's a second belt over it wich doesn't hold the loincloth, it's just for the scabbard. Conan actually wore that scabbard belt on the chest (and sword on the back), remember? Then he changed the sword to the waist and adjusted the belt.

In that photo, Arnold must have removed the second scabbard belt.

I'll tell you, I've watched the DVD over and over and over, frame by frame by frame in some cases (I'm not obsessed) and that seems to be the best way to figure itall out, actually.

I was always fascinated by how the same scabbard was both a shoulder AND a belt scabbard and couldn't figure it out until now--but watching it in slo mo so damn many times I finally figured it out. The main belt that holds the fur has a small spot on the left side that the smaller thinner 'shoulder strap runs through--you can see it here: http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=4489&sku=7207&ref=listing-page

loosen the strap and you can slip it over the shoulder; tighten it and it pulls the scabbard tight to the belt. Pretty nifty design, really.

Its just frustrating because you can very clearly see Subotai and Valeria's costumes...but not Conan's :(

If you do some search engines, there are a lot of great garb companies that supply groups like the SCA and such. You'll find all sorts of pants and belt options as well as other items that can be used.
