Man... first his wife died some months ago, now this. Lot of suffering on Frazetta's world, apparently.

On myown purely, perhaps misguided, conjectural note. I always kinda got the impression that Frank was a real cheap and egotistical type of guy from the "The Painting with Fire" video--which was a bit too much a self-serving glorification.

He's got dementia and there is infighting(son could be a real sleazebag too, never know):

The two men accompanying Frank Jr. were identified as Frank Bush, 49, and Kevin Clement, 54. Police said additional charges were pending on Bush, who operated the backhoe.

Frank Jr.'s wife, Lori Frazetta, said the incident was the result of family infighting that began after the death of Frank Sr.'s wife, Ellie, a few months ago. According to Lori, Frank Jr. and Ellie ran the family business until Ellie's death a few months ago – when the infighting over Frank Sr.'s paintings began.

You are probably right. It had to be really hard to be his son. In themes like this is complicated, but nobody is totally innocent or guilty (these words also don't fit too well in this kind of things).

The incident smells to me a lot like the family was broken for a long time ago. I wasn't aware that Frank had dementia, but in this particular case this curiously would be good for the son if he is, like all points to, in huge need of the money of his father. If the son could officially and legally state that Frank has dementia then he can become the one who controld his money and goods. But apparently the controller is still Frank as police called him to ask him if he had given the permission to do that "assault", therefore he can't have "dementia" in the sense he isn't concious of reality anymore. Maybe he has some low degree of dementia, but he still knows what he wants and what not: proof is Frank surely had denied money to his son surely many times before, reason why now the son is desesperatedly trying to steal his father's goods.

Why the son is a son of a bitch with his own father, I toitally ignore. But my theory is Frank was a son of a bitch with him at some degree. Anyway, that is not really my bussiness.
