Thulsa Doom Icon - origin? Empty
PostSubject: Thulsa Doom Icon - origin?   Thulsa Doom Icon - origin? EmptyTue 14 Dec - 13:16

Hey there!

First time posting here. I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about the development of the red logo associated with the film (the snakes and the black sun).

Was it developed for the film? Or did it exist in Conan-lore beforehand? There’s various versions out there - is there any concept art available, or is it known who the artist was?

If anyone could point me in the direction of some answers that’d be great!

Thanks!

Well I *may* have answered my own question.

I was trawling the internet looking for anything RON COBB - and found this on an auction site -

Thulsa Doom Icon - origin? 31190387_1

I can only presume he developed it as a simplified iteration of the motif.
