| A old cartoon series from the 1980's reminds me very much of CONAN. THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN, it was transmitted from 1980 - 1984.
In the year 1994, a comet from outer-space hurtles between the Earth and the Moon unleashing destruction. The Moon is destroyed and Earth is left in ruins by natural disasters and civilization collpases as the Earth's O-Zone layer is gone and the Earth is left as a wasteland. 2000 years later, in the post-apocalyptic world, a new world is born, a world of ''Savagery, super-science and Sorcery''. Living in the new world, Thundarr, a mighty warrior (armed with his magic sword ''The Sun Sword'') and his two companions, Princess Ariel, a beautiful-sorceress, the lion-like Ookla the Mok, do battles with evil forces of wizards and creatures as they travel across the new world. |

| THUNDARR was good. the series should be remade and it should have a live-action motion picture or a live action television series. It is possible, THUNDARR was influenced by CONAN. It came out 2 years before the 1982 CONAN classic. A live-action movie of THUNDARR would be great. |

Indeed it was! - Quote :
- Thundarr.com: What was the inspiration for Thundarr the Barbarian and how did the show come about?
Joe Ruby: I had gotten hold of some action/adventure magazines to see what was the latest in this arena. I noticed a story that Arnold Schwarzenegger was going to make a movie based on the "Conan the Barbarian" stories. Usually we waited until a movie was released to see how well it did, especially with kids, then we'd develop shows in that arena. But this time I decided to develop a show in the swords and sorcery arena a year before the movie came out. That way, if it worked, we'd have a show on the air at the same time as the movie. And hopefully our show would do as well as we thought the movie would do. Source: http://www.thundarr.com/media/interview.html | |

| Jessica Biel as THUNDARR!!!! THUNDARR isn't a woman. I know BLACKSTAR. It reminds me a bit of SHOGUN. The leading character is called John Blackstar and he is astronaut who finds himself marooned on a alien world. In SHOGUN, sailor John Blackthorne gets marooned in Feudal Japan. I've never seen BLACKSTAR, i've only seen the opening sequence on Youtube. There are lot of old cartoon shows i would love to see be made into films: BRAVESTARR, HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, JAYCE AND THE WHEELED WARRIORS AND THE PIRATES OF DARK-WATER.
John Blackstar is a astronaut who finds himself marooned on the alien planet Sagar when his space-shuttle is sucked into a black hole and enters a distant universe and his space-shuttle crash-landed on Sagar. Rescued by the Trobbits, peace-loving elf like people, John Blackstar decides to join the resistance who are fighting against the evil Overlord, who rules the planet with his magic sword ''The Power Sword''. With the Power Sword split in half and Blackstar is given one half of the sword ''The Star Sword'', whilst the Overlord has the other half of the sword. Blackstar and the Overlord engage in battle, as Blackstar, the resistance and Blackstar's dragon Warlock set out to put a end to the Overlord's tyranny on Sagar. |

| ULYSSES 31, that was also a great Cartoon series. It was a futuristic retelling of the legend Ulysses. That deserves to be made into a movie. I think Christian Bale would be perfect as Ulysses. |

| Dan: A - What is a URL address (or a link)?A URL address (sometimes referred to as a website address or web) is an Internet address, much like your street address for mail delivered via the post office. A URL address usually starts with http:// Example: https://conancompletist.forumactif.com/index.htmB - Where do I find a URL address? If you have Internet access through a browser, the URL address is located into the "Location" or "Address" box at the top of the screen. You will notice that each time you visit a new page of a new website, a new address appears in the box. C - How do I "copy" and "paste" a URL address?(1) Place your cursor immediately in front of the address you want to copy (2) Click on your left mouse button (3) While holding the button move the mouse to "highlight" what you want copied, then release button (4) Click right mouse button (5) Choose "copy" from the menu (6) Go to where you wish to insert the copy (example: in a new message you want to post on the forum) (7) Place cursor where you want to "drop" the address ( 8 ) Click right mouse button and choose "paste" from the menu. (9) Et voila! Now, you do it with the address of the youtube video of that Thundarr episode ! | |

| Just for the Record, i did not know there was another person on the forum called ''Dan'' when i first entered the Conan forum. I wasn't stealing your identity. Dan is my name. I did also have the same idea of Jessica Biel as Red Sonja. She just popped ino my head for some reason. I like CONAN THE BARBARIAN, it is a great movie. I am sorry if i have done anything bad. |
