Even though it's supposed to be historical, set in the late days of the Imperium, I think Gladiator is the closest one can get to a Conan movie. With a few changes here and there and changing the ending so Maxiums doesn't die, the basic plot could be a great pastiche of how Conan became king of Aquilonia. I think it's no accident that they used Anvil of Crom in one of the teasers, or that Sven-Ole Thorsen (Thorgrim) appears as the Gladiator "Tigris" (Tiger).

Same goes for the character of Titus Pullo (Ray Stevenson) in the ROME TV series, there's some "Conan" in some of his attitude. I think Millius had some input too in some episodes.
