| Yeah..love Conan's scottish claymore sword from Remco's CONAN line,lol.
I am reminded that we never got a real CONAN toy, with movie likeness. Mcfarlane's releaseswere the biggest disappointments as of yet.
Maybe Neca will get the license, and charge a small fortune for a worthy CONAN figure.

| At 6:42, you can see Skeletor's throne, its a near exact copy of Conan's Aquilonian throne, except Skeletor's uses the Serpent Dragons in place of the Lions.

| The He-Man movie had some other couple of references to Millius' Conan -but not much, really. I hope I can post the work I've been doing of related movies, but man, I just don't have time enough Er... I just saw that throne, Yeah, sure, exactly the same... Are you kidding? Maybe it's a joke and I just don't get it? Dan, are you John Millius? | |

| The throne itself is near exact, cept for the snakes, not the airchariot.
Kull's throne from the movie was also very similiar too, except they added Eagles Wings to the back of it.
The He-Man movie was worked on by Willian Stout, who worked on Conan in the early stages.

| Truth be told I loved this movie, minus the earth scenes, though Cox was a hotty back then. When I first saw this movie in the theater, I was like 5 or 6 years old, and I was mesmerized by Langella's performance. The hell with Vader, Thulsa Doom or Palpatine, there is only Skeletor, the Darklord of Destruction. * I want action figures of Skeletor and his Shocktroopers, I would build legions. | |

| That was a excellent skull mask Langella wore, it was very effective... He made Skeletor so scary... He looks really scary without his hood on. Frank Langella starred with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1994 film JUNIOR, I think it is Arnold's worst movie. |

They were in Kevin Kline's "Dave", Arnold had a cameo.

Marvel updated their CONAN figures:

| Langella as Skeletor... an EXCELLENT performance. And even better when you realize he's giving life to a toy. Just look how full of strenght his eyes are even behind the rubber mask. I remember being scared like shit of that Skeletor, as I was used to think about him as a silly retard, as he was depicted in the cartoons. But in the movie he was The Reaper, and you can't fuck with The Reaper. All my respects to Langella. | |

| I respect Langella too. The scene where he popped his head from the red water in the pit beneath Castle Greyskull frightened me when i was little. Skeletor looked really scary without his hood on. They should had referenced 'MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE' with 'THE TERMINATOR' on IMDB. In that scene, Skeletor says 'I'll Be Back' 'which is the catchphrase of The Terminator. |

| ... Memories of an idiot, chapter 69: I remeber one night I dreamt I was going to open my closet to pick up some clothes and in the inside there was the most frightening Skeletor I had ever seen. He was there, sat, and around him there was an evil fog. His head was a rotten skull, with green and sick yellow bone colours, and he was full of strenght and power. He was holding his satanic goat standard, and I knew he was there to kill me. It was not a warrior enemy, it was simply Death. It was years before the MOTU movie was filmed, as I think It would be by the time my mom bought me my first Motu toy, guess which one. I didn't knew Skeletor could be scary until I saw him in my dream in real life size. It was just like the toy but 25 times bigger. I think I loved the Langella Skeletor because it was more close to the Skeletor I dreamed and desired him to be. The kiddie cartoon character was idiotized to become less dangerous for children subconcious. Now THAT is idiot. Create a so powerful character and then lightheart it because it is TOO powerful. Shit. They play with us. No wonder why we are all wackos. | |

| It's funny. In the 2002 updated series of HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, Skeletor's real name was revealed as Keldor. I am beginning to think he may have been named after Kalidor from RED SONYA. |

| Actually there's a character in the Kull series called Kelkor, whom reminded me of Arnold's character, who was described as being like a statue made out've Steel and had some good dialog in the story.
"Kelkor has such self-control, confidence and assertiveness that Kull envies him. Kelkor's birth bars him from high command of the Red Slayers, yet he is portrayed as being the most cool-headed, calm and intelligent member of the cast. So much so that somewhere in this series, Kull ignores the law and gives Kelkor the high command in spite of custom and precedence (Howard does this off-stage, of course)."

The wiki actually has a short article on the KULL/HE-MAN relationship..its fairly well written.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kull
But we already know all of this by now...
