The new Conan movie are gonna be made by Swedish mates!!

Well, they are using CONAN's name in order, I suppose, to attract already existing fans of him... wich are actually the ones who are so pissed about how this movie is turning out.

I dunno, makes no sense... Probably as AOster said they are also trying to attract all the new generation wich knows Conan ONLY by the videogame and the RPG... There's a whole generation of young guys who won't come to watch the Milius' movie because it¡s "way old". In fact I met once a teen who said he KNEW the AVP movies were bad, but he liked them anyway, AND that he won't go and watch James Cameron's ALIENS because it was "TOO OLD"! Same dumbasses who today worships "Avatar"!

The closest thing to a good "Conan" movie to me was "Braveheart" and that was made 15 years ago... And Gibson is always critiziced by his ultraviolence and barbarism... They can say a lot of bad things about his person (and mostly of them can be true) but he is honest with what he does. His movies ain't perfect but at least are honest. This new CONAN crap cannot take the risk of being so critiziced as Gibson or Milius has been, therefore they need to erase all the realistic violence and therefore, also the barbarism and adult tone, and turn it into a videogame for teens just to be sure it's succesfull.

They want inmediate tickets success, that's all. If they truly wanted this new CONAN to become a cult movie, ADORED by new teenagers fans, they should have taken the opposite way: turning it so ultraviolent and unmoral that every conservative group will label it as "INNAPROPIATE", therefore teenagers would RUN IN HORDES to watch it and will love it only because it's so parents-shocking and transgressive. But that will give it problems to promote the movie as a generic blockbuster, wich is the only thing the producers wants.

This Patrice Louinet sounds like a real shill for the producers.

He speaks on negatives:

-"It doesn't look cheesy".

-"It won't have a Wheel of Pain"

-"It won't be rock, won't be Poledouris either"

So, the only thing we know are technically negatives. Very promising... Instead of talking about the virtues, he just talks about what is not.

Don't you people worry about the text, it says nothing worthy. It only points that Nispel denies it's a remake and
that he said "he had this Conan movie in his head way before he even saw the CTB movie".

Wich is weirdo, cuz this movie was written by other guys, not by him... Maybe he had mental powers?

Besides, Nispel points that the inspiration for this movie was, again, NOT Milius' (c'mon, if he sais it's not a ripoff enough,

The hairdress is ridiculous (so, are they trying to tell us Conan spends half an hour in front
of a mirror using grease to obtain a hair like this? It's exactly the way my sister combs her hair.)

Thorgrim uses similar sword too I may add, although I cant find any good higher resolution images. Not sure if mighty or protoplasme has them, but we used to have a whole lot more images around that what is seen oin the website today. I think its fair to say Cobb gave the early Conan concept swords to Thorgrim and Rexor. Milius for some reason decided to give Thorgrim a hammer, but some scenes during the raid suggest Thorgrim was still using a sword.

If you believe in having a "multiverse" which consists of anything and everything already happened, John Milius made the trilogy with Schwarzenegger already.

And you know, it´s kind of frustrating because, as great as the movie is, each time I watch it I end with a sour feeling that we will never be told the rest of the story, as we are promised a the end.
